President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has assured that “he will not go
back on his promises” made to Nigerians while seeking their votes.
Speaking in a personal message to mark his 71st birthday, Tinubu who described
his mandate as the greatest birthday gift ever, also thanked Nigerians for giving
him the opportunity to serve them as president, promising neither to “take the
opportunity lightly” nor “squander it.”
The President-elect stated that he would, instead, use his birthday as an opportunity
to reiterate his commitment to the important task of rebuilding the nation and
renewing the hope of the Nigerian people.
